I get an email from my landlord after posting in the shared group about restarting the router remotely if we have connectivity issues. Landlord’s worried I’m resetting everything, and emails. He explains what all the lights and the switch mean on the router. I calm him down and explain what I did and why. He replies ‘great reply by the way’ and ‘I’m impressed you know what you’re doing with the internet’ then proceeds to re-explain what the light on the front of the router means, and how to turn it off then on again with the switch.

My partner and I are joint tenants of our rented house. Our letting agents never bother to copy me in on emails about upcoming maintenance work, and now, when the time has come to renew our tenancy for the next year, they have sent all of the documentation to my partner and not to me (although the messages begin “Dear Mr X and Ms Y”, they are never sent to my email address, only to my partner). If he hadn’t told me about it and forwarded some of their emails, I would be completely in the dark about the our tenancy renewal. I have informed them that this is unacceptable since I am also a tenant of the property – it remains to be seen whether they will respond…
