When I was 11, I went on a trip to Brazil with my family. In a hotel we were staying at, one of the male workers would always talk to me when he saw me, after a while it got annoying. He always stood close to me, hugged me and even encouraged me to give him smooches. I did give them to him, because I didnt understand why it would be something not right. Once when I was walking to the pool to meet my brother there, I was wearing a swim suit when he saw me. He said he saw me scratching my shoulder of a mosquito bite and wanted to give me a treatment. Even though I said “no thank you” he came up to me and uncovered a piece of my swimsuit, since that is where he apparently saw the mosquito bite. It took me some time to realise he wanted to see my breast. Then he tried to get me to go with him to a small room where the hotel kept the medicines. Thankfully then I said no and got away with it, because I dont know what would happen if I went there with him. A few days later when I was sitting on a bench he sat next to me and started telling me about how he wants me to come back again when I am 18. After that he kissed me on the lips and told me to do it too, but I didnt. After that I didnt tell anyone what happened but I had many panick attacks when I realised what was really going on. I told my mom after a year, and she really helped me then.

HANNAH

When I was 16 I worked on Saturdays as a receptionist for a nutritionist. At the end of one Saturday I was invited into the nutritionist’s office and asked to be a volunteer patient so he could test out the timing of a physical exam. I lay on the massage table and he started to grope around my chest area. He pulled up by bra over my breasts and rubbed under my breasts. He asked, ‘Tell me when it starts to hurt’. After a minute or so, it started to hurt and he stopped, turned away from me and told me that was it for the day. Puzzled and embarassed, I left. When I returned the next Saturday there was a strange woman sitting in my seat. She told me I wasn’t needed anymore and to go home. I’d been sacked! I told my mother but my mother did nothing about it, dismissing it. Not only that but she still visited this horrid little man and paid him for nutrition advice!
