I went to school, regular day, I was wearing a pullover hoodie, with a razorback bra right, my bra was visible because the style goes closer to ur neck than how it usually sits on your shoulder. one of my male teachers told me I “need to fix my sweatshirt so it doesn’t distract the boys”

A boyfriend threw a lamp at me when I was 22 and lived in Boston, MA, USA. When the police came they said they couldn’t do anything because I wasn’t injured and that I should clean up my apartment and do the dishes.

Going to volunteer with Catholic charities in my town in California, the man training me on the very basic phone etc kept leaning into my left side, touching my leg and then wanted to know who I lived with and gave me his phone number. Which I threw away and then called to tell them I would not be back and what he did. I am 61 years old and this is just completely disgusting.

Spouse looking over women in front of me and when I say it bothers me he laughs. I don’t do that even when he isn’t there.

I was at a job in a classroom with austic and education challanged children when the woman who was giving reading instuctions was showing pictures and pointed out girls have long hair, a little boy looked over at me (had short hair at time not to shoulders like picture) and asked her, she said girls have long hair. There is a culture of sexism of sexuality by the younger generation that I don’t feel they realize they are implementing it being ok to look at women as sexual objects. Which is pretty sad. I’m 61 and really offended by this example by the teacher that girls have long hair, so not true.

I work in a male dominated industry. A few months after starting at a new shop I was having a discussion with the shop owner about my future in the shop and my performance up to that point. We were discussing pay raises, promotions, and the ways of the industry. Despite having gone to trade school, buying all of my own tools, receiving additional industry certifications, and being told that I have a talent for this work the shop owner then told me he thinks I would be better off in an office job! Ironically, I am not a people person, have NEVER done clerical work, and refuse to dress up. If I were younger and impressionable that might have been the end of a career that I love, and that’s a scary thought.

I’m thirteen years old. Last week, I went to the mall with my family. We walked past a group of older guys (20s) who looked at me, clearly up and down, then made crude gestures (grabbing imaginary breasts) to each other. Not cool, and not okay!

One day last summer I was walking with my little sister down to the store(it’s close to our house)and a family walking by covered their kids eyes, and the dad said that I should wear more ‘covering clothes, because I had large breast.’then his wife accused me off being a slut, and a teenage mum.(I had just turned 12 and we lived in florida)

I had a chemistry professor last year who suggested to me that my questions were not worth his time, and yet acted like my classmate ( A guy ) who also stayed after to ask questions was a great student for staying after for the exact same reason. He made me, and other women in my class feel very uncomfortable with the way he looked at us and position himself around us, and with the way that his choice of words made us feel as if we were not welcome in the scientific community, and shouldn’t be working in this field . His behavior honestly made me feel so uncomfortable that I would hurry to ensure I was not the last person left in the classroom.

My male supervisor tasked me with making training material. He then took over the project by way of micromanaging me effectively removing me from the training development role. Throughout the training development he dismissed every single one of my professional opinions on what should and should not be in the material. After the training, the students mirrored my comments from the development stage. When I pointed this out to him, he told me instead that my assessment of the student’s comments shows that I don’t have experience to evaluate student responses. He states to me in an email “I was actually not surprised of your response after you read the reviews as it indicated that you have not conducted many training classes (or least didn’t represent the response I expect from an instructor will experience) and as such don’t know how to evaluate the student comments. There are actually entire college courses on exam writing, statistical analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) of both the test results and the student evaluations/comments, as well on test design courses.” I have a BS in Public Health and a MS in Industrial Hygiene. I have been working in this profession for ten years. There is absolutely no reason for him to talk down to me like I’m a small child. The most telling piece, he has never treated my male co-workers in this fashion when they disagree or give a professional opinion.
