My partner and I are joint tenants of our rented house. Our letting agents never bother to copy me in on emails about upcoming maintenance work, and now, when the time has come to renew our tenancy for the next year, they have sent all of the documentation to my partner and not to me (although the messages begin “Dear Mr X and Ms Y”, they are never sent to my email address, only to my partner). If he hadn’t told me about it and forwarded some of their emails, I would be completely in the dark about the our tenancy renewal.
