I was asked at work by a male peer if my decision as a head of department to hire a woman was because she was a woman.
My boss also vetoed my decision to hire another woman an experienced post graduate with a masters degree. He took my hiring decisions away from me without any reason.
I realised my being a woman was seriously jeapoardising my hiring of any women and in a male dominated industry I felt so sad and trapped.
