I was at an industry work event, fairly well known and it was a great opportunity to learn, meet other industry professionals and attend lectures. Afterwards, food and drinks were served. At this stage, someone I had met earlier (a Director of another company) came up behind me, groped me and squeezed my bum, and breathed on my neck saying ‘I fancy you so much’. Baring in mind this man had offered me a job and tried to persuade him to come to his company a couple of hours prior I was suprised to not only see him in such a state but also behave in the way he did in front of absolutely everyone with no shame or worry whatsoever. Unfortunately the next day (as it was a 2 day event), I met his wife who also worked at the same company as him. I didn’t mention anything, but it was clear she had absolutely no idea about her cheating, sexual assaulting husband and I felt so sorry for her. Looking back, I should have reported him and I should probably have told his wife too.
