Mother’s Day 2022 a pastor at our church said openly in front of my two teenage sons that “moms do all the work”. He dismissed me working full time plus overtime plus lots of home work in front of my sons.
How are boys going to be well adjusted if they’re constantly told their not worth anything an even if they pull their workload, it will not be valued. It is hard enough for a father to prevent a self defeated life outlook in boys. I do not want them to think that they are bad persons by their gender alone. That reinforced outlook will lead a small fraction of boys to adopt “i am a bad person so i will act as a bad person”.
We try to find movies and tv without, dads stupid, moms perfect and rarely find anything at all. Combine with sexual assault kicks to the privates as humor against men and there is little ti view on tv movies.
